DescriptionThe Administration Building at White Sands National Monument near Alamogordo, New Mexico. The pueblo-style building has a portal and vigas, along with a flat roof. There is a wooden sign near the sidewalk that reads, "Admiinistration Building Museum Information Souveniers". Editing marks are on the photograph.
A typed caption on the back of the photograph reads, "Administration Building and Museum at White Sands National Monument in northern New Mexico 18 miles southwest of the town of Alamogordo on U.S. Highway 70. This great natural wonder covers 270 square miles. A portion of it has been set aside as a National Monument."
