DescriptionThis map of Albuquerque and the surrounding inhabited land around is partly a plat map showing land spacing and planning, and part geographic map depicting the Rio Grande and the streets in the center of Albuquerque. There are no buildings shown to the west of the river, and the buildings and inhabited land east of the central crossroads become more sparse further east with land separated into large squares. There is a pencil mark for 1926 at the end of a red highlighted line along Central Avenue that will designated as Route 66 in 1926. The other red lines north to south are the rest of the proposed Route 66 road in Albuquerque. A compass points north on the left side at an angle to indicate the slight angle of the depiction of Albuquerque. City limits and land grants are indicated with thin lines.
