DescriptionThis black and white engineer's plat map depicts the plots of land leased to the U.S. government for a bombing range. The scale of the map is 1 in. - 8,800 ft and the office of the city engineer surveyed and created this map. Made during World War II, this map features the Rio Grande winding from the bottom to the top, the city of Albuquerque in a tight sequence of squares to the right of the river, and a larger set of squares with numbers in their center ranging from 1 to 36. A sticker on the lower left below the manufacturer title contains the numbers "06 011 0141," and an area in the top left near the New Mexico Principal Meridian Line is sectioned off in a darker border. There is a partial compass pointing north on the upper right side. A legend on the right side indicates that white is for public domain, red is for state lands, and blue is for the Atchison, Topeka & Sante Fe Railroad. On View
