Description"Indian Territory" is written in block capitals and is writing vertically on this map of the western territories of northern Texas and New Mexico. Originally accompanied by the first edition of Josiah Gregg's classic book on the "Santa Fe Trade Commerce of the Prairies," the Santa Fe Trail is marked "Regular Route of the Santa Fe Caravans" and runs through the center of the map.
