DescriptionA woman stands on her porch as she watches the Selma to Montgomery marchers enter Montgomery, Alabama on the last day of the march in this black and white photograph. The woman is wearing glasses and she stands in a patterned dark shirt and white skirt with a white cloth wrapped around her head. She stands at the edge of the porch with her arms crossed in front of her chest looking towards the viewer. The porch she stands on is wooden with strips of wood nailed to wooden support pillars that serve as a sort of railing. There is a metal neck beside her and a wooden bench behind her. The house behind her is also made of wood siding. The left part of the photograph shows the edge of the neighboring house, which is also made of wood, as well as a path way to a wooded area behind the houses and a collection of potted plants next the porch. On View
