DescriptionThis black and white photograph shows a group of nuns and priests from the Loyola order at the end of the first day of the Selma to Montgomery march in Dallas County Alabama. The photograph is taken from near the ground so the viewer looks up towards the silhouettes and outlines of those in the photograph. There are about eleven marchers in the photograph, of these marchers only two have visible features. One is a man standing near the center of the photograph in dark pants and a light jacket. He is looking away from the viewer. The other is a nun who is standing in a group on the left side of the photo. She is wearing the traditional habit and glasses, she is also looking directly towards the viewer. The group stands in a grassy field with a clear sky in the background. On View
