DescriptionThis black and white photograph shows a row of voting rights protestors marching to the courthouse in Montgomery, Alabama. The photograph is take from the side of the marchers so they are appear to be walking towards the left of the frame. There are two men visible in the first row from the left, both are wearing formal black suits and the man closest to the viewer is wearing a black hat. Behind them, five men in casual clothing are walking in a row with each other. A flag of the United States of America and a flag of the United Nations are being carried directly behind this row. The rows continue to the right out of frame of the photograph. All of the protestors are walking with their arms linked together at the elbow.
