DescriptionIn this black and white photograph a group of young marchers are resting in Lowndes County, Alabama during the Selma to Montgomery March. There are four marchers in the photo, they are wearing casual clothing such as sweaters and jackets. The marchers appear to be resting against a grassy hillside, the shadows of trees are covering them. Two marchers are in the bottom half of the photograph, they are both laying on their backs looking towards the viewer. The other two marchers are on the top half of the photo, one is sitting up looking towards the left of the frame. The other marcher is laying on his back right next to him with one hand covering his head. There are a few blankets around them that they appear to be laying on.
