DescriptionThis color map features all of the United States with the upper Rio Grande (Rio del Norte) region outlined in particular by the Rocky Mountain range. While many of the states in America are marked along with Cuba, Mexico, and Caribbean islands, Canada is marked as British Territory, and Oklahoma is marked as Indian Territory indicating that the make up of what became the United States was in a state of transition. US states vary in highlighted color from red, to green, to beige, and the title of the map is in the lower left. Around the border is a consistent pattern of interweaving metal lines with a circle surrounding a star in each corner.
