Ferguson began her film career as a stunt girl when she was 12 years old and her first recorded credits are in 1917. By 1920, her career was taking off with roles in westerns, comedies, and serials. In 1933, she left acting to become a publicity and public relations counselor, representing actors including Henry Fonda and Barbara Stanwyck.
