DescriptionThis landscape map depicts the town of Shertogenbosch in the Netherlands from a neighboring hill over the river from the city. The view contains fields and agricultural work happening outside of the city walls. Homes and churches within the city have red walls and green roofs, and there is activity along the routes into the town such as people on horseback and boats pulled by people on the shore. Two figures feature prominently in the foreground overlooking the area dressed in aristocratic clothing. The text is in Latin.
