DescriptionThis aerial map of Brightstowe, near Bristol in England, contains a bird's eye view of the town and also depicts of the fields surrounding the town with tree-covered hills, the city walls, and a river running through the river. Three adult figures, 2 male and 1 female, feature in the lower left corner under a description key, and the males don aristocratic attire with capes and weaponry, while the female wears a long dress. There is an orange border with a recurring ridged design in the center, a heraldic crest in the upper right, and a detailed description in Latin of the map on the left side.On View
