DescriptionThis map, produced by the the military department of New Mexico, also features detailed geographic portrayals of the routes, rivers, and mountains in southern Utah, Southern Colorado, the tip of Kansas, west Texas, northern Mexico, parts of California, and all of Arizona. The state and country names are in large capitalized letters and the Gulf of California is in the lower left next to an explanation of the signs used in the map, the scale of the map, and latitude and longitude determination. On the right side of the map are three closeup sketched maps of three military battle including colorful information of troop movements and geographically important locations like towns and rivers. The word Unexplored is placed at the northern Arizona border.
