DescriptionThis black and white photograph shows a crowd of young demonstrators for voting rights outside of the Dallas County Courthouse in Selma, Alabama. The crowd is made of Black individuals and takes up most of the right side and center of the photograph. The demonstrators are standing, dressed in casual clothing, and are all holding white pieces of paper with writing on them. They are displaying these pieces towards the street. The left side of the photograph shows the front hoods of a line of parked cars. In the background there are blurry edges of buildings and a street further down from the demonstrators.
