DescriptionThis is a black and white photograph that shows a large crowd gathered outside of the Dallas County Courthouse in Selma, Alabama. The image has been taken through a stone archway so that the arch borders the top and sides of the image. The courthouse is a large stone building with a doorway in the center. There are also two square lights and two windows bordering the doorway so that there is one on each side. There are a few people looking out of the window on the right. The doorway and the entire front of the courthouse is filled with a crowd of both white and black people. They are all wearing formal clothing. In the crowd Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is standing with a wreath. He stands on the left-side of the doorway. He holds a wreath to honor the Unitarian minister Reverend James J. Reeb, who was killed by a segregationist. On View
