Description1. We'll start our trip in Colorado, new Trinidad, where the train stops a while; and we get his view out the window of our coach.2. Befor we realize it, we are speeding through Raton Pass in northern New Mexico, on the Super Chief, thinking of what we have read about the state we are entering.
3.The scenic beauty of New Mexico is varied, ranging from rose colored deserts to snow-capped mts. We will plan to see some of both.
4. As we see the Rio Grande near Taso, we are reminded that the Indians were the first people to imprint their culture in the area. After long neglect, we are now trying to preserve this culture.
