DescriptionThe Alvarado Hotel in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with a large, snow-capped mountain in the background. The stucco hotel has a tile roof and arched doorways and windows to the plaform of the train. The train tracks a landscape are in the foreground. Handwriting on the back reads, "We are certainly on the way there. We stop three days at this fascinating hotel breaking the trip. I take off my hat to Fred Harvey who certainly understands the hotel business. I cannot express my pleasure in having you both come all the way over to see me off. I love you both very, very much and hope I may have the chance to prove it some day. Time rapidly flies away and I shall hope to see you all often on my return. I wish that all success and joy may be yours. C/o The American Express in Rome or Florence will reach me during this Spring. Write me the news. Your Caroline."On View
