DescriptionThis color photograph is of theoretical physicist Fred Cooper with a written inscription and signature by Cooper underneath. Cooper is seated in a chair behind a desk with a book open in his hands as he looks at the camera. The inscription reads:
Our reality is mostly a creature of our minds. We start from our sense data as input. We then interpret this sense data according to the current accepted belief system -- whether religious or scientific. In science we see these belief systems change every few years -- one year everything is made up of everything else, the next year there are fundamental blobs of matter and so on. Has reality changed! NO! Only our minds have changed.
