DescriptionThis is a small illustration of Basel, Switzerland. In a pink banner, across the top of the illustration, it says, "BASLE." Across the top, outside the thin black border of the illustration, it says "Bafel" (including the early modern long-f, used as a present-day "s") and to the right "Fig. LV." Basel Münster is in the center of the background and is surrounded by red-roofed buildings. There is a brdge over the Rhine River. There are ships on the river. In the foreground are three men and two horses. On the left is a man next to a horse. On the right is a man on a horse, with his back to the viewer. To his right is a man on foot.On View
