DescriptionThis is a map of Switzerland with a decorative frame of vines and roses. Regions within Switzerland are outlined in shades of blue, yellow, and red. There are illustrations around the map and inside the frame. In a frame at the center top, in red text, it says, "SWITZERLAND." In the upper left corner, there is an illustration of a blindfolded boy leaning against a tree with an apple on his head. A few paces away, there is a man pointing a crossbow at the boy. There are military troops in the background and royal guards in the foreground. Below this illustration, it says, "WILLIAM TELL SHOOTING AT THE APPLE." Below this illustration, inside a circular frame, there is an illustration labeled "THE CAP ON THE POLE." Along the bottom left edge of the map, there is an illustration of a village. Below this it says, "TYROLESE." In the upper right corner there is a city scene, and below this it says, "BERN." Below this illustration, inside a circular frame, is a seaside illustration labeled "CASTLE OF CHILLON." In the lower right corner, there is an illustration of two men in the hills with muskets.
