DescriptionThis colored aerial map is of Hamburg, Germany, and the surrounding areas with text in Latin and German. There is a line frame drawn around the map. Inside a thin pink strip running horizontally across the top of the map, it has the title in Latin--on the left--and in German on the right. In the lower left corner of the map, inside a small white box, there is a map key. Along the bottom segment of the map, there is a black and white, eye level illustration of the city and harbor seen from afar. There are ships in the harbor. In the right corner, Minerva or Athena is seated and pointing out toward the middle of the page. Behind her, Mercury or Hermes stands holding a caduceus. There is an angel above them that is holding a cornucopia basket. Above the illustration of the city, it says, "Hamburg." In the left corner, Neptune or Poseidon stands, holding a trident. There are other shirtless men around him, in a boat or in water. An angel hovers above them, blowing a trumpet and holding another trumpet in their other hand.On View
