DescriptionThis is a monochrome, engraved map of the village of Appenzell, Switzerland surrounded by mountains. In the upper right corner there is a framed, close-up map of Herissaw, Switzerland. At the top of the main map it says, "APPENZELL." Written within the river it says, "Sitter fluß" representing the River Sitter in present-day Switzerland.
