DescriptionThis map of Southeast Asia and the Indonesian Archipelago also contains several illustrations of a bear, Native people of New Guinea, and landscape scenes. The map has a drawn frame. At the top and center, inside an ornately drawn frame flanked with dragons, it says, "MALAY/ARCHIPELAGO/OR/EAST INDIA ISLANDS." At the bottom and in the center, outside the frame of the map, it says, "JOHN TALLIS & COMPANY, LONDON & NEW YORK."On View
