BiographyBorn in 1942 at Santa Clara Pueblo to a family of potters, Mary Ester Archuleta is the daughter of Margaret Tafoya and sister of Mela Youngblood, Toni Roller, LuAnn tafoya and Shirley Tafoya. Mary married a man from Ohkay Owingeh and moved there in the 1960s. She played a role in the revival of Ohkay Owingeh incised pottery in the 1970s. She made pottery in the style of both Santa Clara and Ohkay Owingeh.
