BiographyAnita Suazo is a potter from Santa Clara Pueblo. The cousin of Margaret Tafoya, Suazo and her sister, Anna Archuleta, learned to make pottery from their mother, Belen Tapia. Suazo often collaborates with her husband, Joseph Suazo. Anita Suazo has taught traditional potting techniques at the University of New Mexico and University of California at Davis. She is known for red polychrome, blackware, and redware.
