DescriptionA single-strand turquoise and spiny oyster necklace. Alternating stones of sky-blue turquoise and slightly larger tabs of orange-pink Spondylous shell, the rhythmic combination of organic and inorganic materials is a favorite theme of Kewa (Santo Domingo Pueblo) artist Crucita Tenorio. While many of the artist’s necklaces favor a preponderance of turquoise over shell, the present example lends equal treatment to both.On View
