DescriptionA single-strand turquoise and spiny oyster necklace. Alternating stones of sky-blue turquoise and slightly larger tabs of orange-pink Spondylous shell, the rhythmic combination of organic and inorganic materials is a favorite theme of Santo Domingo Pueblo artist Crucita Tenorio. Known among many for her remarkable multi-strand necklaces and generally labor-intensive body of work, the present example is minimalist by comparison.
