DescriptionA panoramic landscape view of the Middle Rio Grande Valley in Albuquerque, New Mexico from a high vantage-point. Foothills fill the foreground with sage bushes and other desert foliage sprinkling the sandy ground. In the distance, Albuquerque is seen sprawling into the westward horizon. A man in a dark vest, white undershirt and white hat stands in a dip in the rolling foothills at the bottom left of the frame.

Silver mirroring, emulsion deterioration, and scratches are occurring on the glass plate creating color distortion and emulsion loss. The top right corner of this glass plate has been broken off.
