DescriptionA panoramic landscape view of the Middle Rio Grande Valley in Albuquerque, New Mexico from a high vantage-point. The earth is rolling and undulating with sage bushes and other desert foliage sprinkling the sandy ground. In the distance, Albuquerque is seen sprawling into the distance with small homes, billowing smoke stacks, weathervanes, and the Rio Grande River with mostly barren land on the West side of it. Mesas and mountains begin to rise out of the horizon. Silver mirroring and emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate creating color distortion and emulsion loss in image. The bottom right corner of the plate is broken.
