DescriptionThe image depicts the site of Coronado's Winter Quarters on the site of a Pueblo in the Tiguex area in New Mexico. In the immediate foreground of the image, ruins of the structure can be seen. What used to be individual rooms in the building are visible as the walls that separated out each room are still intact. In the midground of the image, the Bosque Forest stretches from the right side of the frame to the left. Finally in the background of the image are the foothills of the Sandia Mountains and a section of the Sandia Mountains themselves. The foothills in the distance are dotted with various types of bushes and short trees. On View
