DescriptionA landscape view of the Middle Rio Grande Valley in Albuquerque, New Mexico, from a high vantage-point. The landscape is rolling and undulating with sage bushes and other desert foliage sprinkling the sandy ground. Albuquerque is seen sprawling into the distance with small homes, billowing smokestacks, weathervanes, and the Rio Grande with mostly barren land to the West of the river. Mesas and mountains begin to rise out of the horizon.

Silver mirroring and emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate creating color distortion and emulsion loss. The bottom right corner of the plate is broken.
