DescriptionThis matchbox was produced by the Diamond Match Company in the 1940s. The box frame is made out of wood, with the sliding-out compartment being made out of cardboard. The wooden frame is almost completely covered with a navy blue paper, which is glued around the frame. The cardboard slider is also a similar navy blue color as the frame. The top of the box reads "RED TOP" in big, bold white letters, which is enclosed in a red rectangle. A larger navy blue rectangle surrounds the red one, with text positioned right under the lable "RED TOP," which reads "SAFETY MATCH Made in the U.S.A. by THE DIAMOND MATCH CO."
