DescriptionThis matchbox has a blue frame which is mostly covered by an image of an eye that seems to have been glued on, as the edges are pelling off. The image was produced by the Vari-Vue Company, who invented the lenticular image in the 1930s. The front panel, which has been glued, is mostly a peach color, which depicts the skin around an eye. There is a pixelated image of an eye in the middle of the front face of the box. The eye has a blue iris and heavy layers of mascara. The bottom face of the matchbox has a similar peach color panel glued on and is peeling on the edges. There is another image of an eye on the bottom, but the bottom eye is closed and only the eyelashes are visible.
