DescriptionThis matchbox was made to promote the Silver Dollar steak house in Tinnie, New Mexico and the Legal Tender of Lamy, New Mexico. The top face of the box is all black with the words "The/SILVER/DOLLAR" in grey placed just slightly to the right of the center. Under that it reads "TINNIE, NEW MEXICO" in small white lettering. To the left of the writing there is an image of an oil powerd lamp post in grey, which has two direction markers coming off of it, pointing in two opposite directions. The sign pointing to the right reads "ROSWELL/40 Ml." where the sign pointing to the left reads "RUIDOSO/ 30 Ml." The sides of the box are all grey, with one side bearing the words "FOR/RESERVATIONS" on the far left, then writing on the far right which reads "LAMY 982-8425/TINNIE 653-4425" in black. The opposite side of the box has the striking strip with the words "POCKETBOX - DIAMOND MATCH DIV. - PHOENIX, ARIZONA" written right under in black. There are little black diamond shapes separating each word underneath the stricking strip, meant to represent the Diamond Match company. The bottom of the box is all black with "The LEGAL/TENDER" written in gray right above "LAMY, NEW MEXICO" written in small white letters. There is another image of an oil powered lamp post with two direction signs pointing in opposite directions. The sign pointing to the left reads "SANTA FE/17 MI." with the sign pointing to the right reading "ALBUQUERQUE/65 Ml." The whole box is scratched from years of use.On View
