DescriptionThis is a decorative beer stein with embellishments and engravings. The stein is shaped like a tall cylinder with a curved handle on the side and a domed lid. The handle is connected to the lid via a metal hinge and that has a decorative thumb press on top. The handle is white and the press is made of silver metal and is shaped like a spinning top with a wide middle and narrow top and bottom. When pressed down the hinge lifts the lid open so the stein can be used. The lid is completely metal both around the rim and the top. The stein itself is the same color has the handle, and is mostly made of a perforated dotted texture. At the top near the opening is the symbol "1 L" denoting the volume the stein can hold. On the front is an image that has been drawn within a frame. The frame is white and has curved edges to look like a loose piece of paper. On all four corners are brass dots to give the appearance that the image is being pinned up. The image itself is of a bearded man looking forward with a mischievous expression drinking a glass of brown liquid. He is wearing a tall blue hat with a broad rim, a brown coat with a white shirt, and a blue bowtie necktie. The man has the glass in one hand has he leans on a brown table. Next to him is a grey beer stein with ornate designs on it. On the bottom left corner of the design is the signature for the artist Christian Warth. On the back is a white banner with black writing engraved on it that reads: "WER NICHT LIEBT TRINKT UND SINGT / ES NIE ZU WAHRER FREUDE BRINGT" (WHO DOES NOT LOVE DRINKS AND SINGS / WILL NEVER ACHIEVE TRUE JOY). Underneath the stein is the maker's mark for Villeroy & Boch, has well has the product number 1642.On View
