DescriptionThis is a decorative beer stein with many embellishments and engravings. The stein is shaped like a wide cylinder with a widened base, a curved semi-circle handle on the side, and a domed lid. The handle is connected to the lid via a metal hinge that has a decorative thumb press on top. The handle is cream and has edges that look like leaves protruding from the outside edge. The press is made of silver metal and has a flower engraved in the center with swirls and leaves engraved around it. The lid of the stein is completely metal and has four different tiers that get progressively smaller before ending in a narrow point on top. On each of the tears is a decorative pattern of swirls and leaves engraved into the metal, the rest is smooth. The rim of the stein is wide and yellow, with the symbol "1 L" engraved into the back. Below the rim are several borders, one with a row of dots on a brown background, another thick black line, and at the bottom is a scale-like pattern on brown. The base has this same scale like pattern, has well has a large blue border with white leaves on top and a brown circle interspersed throughout. Below this is the same dotted pattern and then the same yellow edge. The main body is made up of three sections with a different image on each. On the left side is a blue background with white floral decorations throughout surrounding an oval white frame. In the frame is a dark brown background with white writing inside that reads "BIER / ODER WEIN, / EINS MUSS / ES SEIN" (BEER / OR WINE, / IT MUST / BE ONE). The right side of the stein has the same image but with different writing which reads "DER / ERSTE ZUG, / NIE LANG / GENUG" (THE / FIRST GULP, / NEVER LONG / ENOUGH). In the front is a colorful image of three men and a woman in clothes reminiscent of the 1500s style. They are sitting on stools and standing with drinks and bottles in their hand. In the foreground are grey bottles scattered on the ground, and in the background is what appears to be a stone cellar with barrels and shelves on the walls. Underneath the stein is the product number 1037.On View
