DescriptionThis object is a tonsillotome used to secure and remove tonsils. The object has two elongated metal strips with a flattened ring-shaped blade at the tip that slide against each other to remove a secured tonsil. One of the blades has two small, sharp points to secure to the tonsil tissue. One of the metal strips has two lateral ring handles, while the other has a single ring handle located at the base of the object. Some mild corrosion is visible near the blades.
