DescriptionThis object is a separated tonsillotome blade that is used to remove infected tonsil tissue. The bottom portion of the object consists of a square-shaped blade, which is attached to a thinner main body. There are two vertical perforations along the body of the object, allowing the elevation of the blade to be adjusted along a larger handle. A perpendicular circular hook is located at the opposite end of the object, allowing the blade to be attached to a handle. Minor amounts of rust and corrosion are visible near the circular hook.On View
