DescriptionThis object is a tonsil snare used to encircle and cut infected tonsil tissue. The object has a long, cylindrical body with a large, flanged ring handle at the top. Two additional ring handles are affixed to a cylindrical ring that can slide up and down the body of the object. The two lateral rings operate a small, metal wire that emerges as a loop from the end of the object when the lateral rings are pushed downwards, and retracts when the rings are moved upwards. A small thumb screw protrudes from the side of the object at the base of the upper ring handle, allowing for access inside the object to replace the small wire. "CROME USA" is stamped in small text at the bottom of one of the lateral ring handles. There is very little to no corrosion visible on the object.On View
