DescriptionThis object is an adenotome and is used to isolate and remove infected or damaged adenoids located in the back of the nasal cavity. This object has two ring handles located on the body of the object, and a larger ring handle at the back. The larger ring handle can be pushed or pulled to operate the blade located at the tip of the object, which is attached to a small, hemispherical compartment meant to hold a severed adenoid. The body of the object is slightly curved to aid in positioning the object in the back of a patient's throat. The object shows very little to no corrosion aside from some minor scratches and blemishes. On View
