DescriptionTwo members of the United Auto Workers union, including the President of the UAW Walter Philip Reuther, wait for the beginning of the final day of the Selma to Montgomery march in this black and white photograph. The two men sit in the foreground of the photograph as a crowd walks behind them, Reuther sits on the left. They are sitting on a wooden bench wearing suits and ties. On their heads they are wearing white oval-shaped caps that read "UAW" on one side and "FREEDOM NOW" on the other in black text. On the left side of the men signs with "UAW" written on top are stacked on the bench. The men are both looking directly towards the viewer. Behind them a crowd of men and women walk towards the right side of the photograph. There are a few other people standing about and some metal debri on the ground. The ground is muddy with a few patches of grass. In the distance a building and trees can be seenOn View
