DescriptionThis object is a pair of orthopedic pliers used to insert and move pins and wires during a surgical operation. Two bowed handles emerge from the bottom of a large box-hinge. The jaws are comprised of straight, blunted prongs that can be used to move and bend surgical wires. The jaws also do not close entirely when the object's handles are pressed together. "DAMASCUS" is stamped onto one side of the hinge on the object. Some very mild corrosion is visible on the outer edges of both handles.
