DescriptionThis object is a long-shanked tenaculum with forked jaws, each with two curved and pointed prongs. The jaws are offset from the shanks at an obtuse angle centered around the hinge. A small locking ratchet is present between the ring handles. One handle is open towards the jaws of the object. "MERKEL" is stamped onto the outside of one of the shanks just below the hinge. Moderate levels of rust are visible between the shanks and around the hinge.
