DescriptionThis object is a wide bone rongeur, used during surgical operations to precisely cut and manipulate bone. The object has two plier-like handles, each with several large indents towards the bottom of the object. A thin strip of metal bridges the two handles together and acts as a spring to keep the object open when not being actively closed. An unidentified manufacturer's mark is present beneath the hinge on one side of the object. The jaws are bowed outwards with two small, perpendicular blades at the tip. There is very little to no corrosion present on the object.
