DescriptionThis is a black and white photograph showing two black men seated next to each other in a room at the Beulah Baptist Church. At the center of the photo are two men, James Forman and another, wearing jean overalls and white shirts. The man on the left is sitting low in his seat. Only the right side of his face and top right of his chest can be seen, he is also wearing dark sunglasses. The rest of his face and body are in shadow and cannot be seen. The man on the right, James Forman, is sitting next to him, he is a leader of the Student Non-violence Coordinating Committee. He is sitting up higher so that is right arm is resting on the head of the man on the left. He is looking above the photo and in addition to his overalls he is also wearing a black jacket, a bow tie, and a pin that says "WE / SHALL / OVERCOME." On right side of the photo a few more men can be seen seated as well. None of the faces are visible. Another black man stands on the left edge of the photo behind the seated men. Only the right side of his body is in the frame. He is looking forward with his hand on hIs chin, he wears a white shirt and glasses. The rest of the photo shows the ceiling and back paneling of the room.On View
