In the top photograph, toward the left frame, a man in overalls faces away from the camera while bending over an old studebaker car with its hood up. The car is seen from the front at a three-quarter view, its rear mostly out of frame. A second man stands in profile at right looking on. He is wears dark jeans and white tee shirt with his hands on his hips. Trees and a distant sloped hill fill the background. In the bottom photo, only the old Studebaker is pictured head-on. The right headlight and fender hang off precariously as a billow of white smoke rises from the open hood. Handwritten on the right hand reads "Removing fender from 1950 Studebaker, Port Costa, Cal. 1979."
