DescriptionThis name badge was manufactured by St. Louis Button Co. and associated with the Albuquerque Fire Department. The pin is constructed of cardboard, plastic, and ribbon, and the base color on the ribbon portion is a scarlet red and features the words "16th / Annual / Tri-State Fireman's/ Convention" in gold lettering. The location and dates are also presented: "Grants / New Mexico / June / 18-19 / 1954" in the same gold lettering. The top cream-colored paper portion of the pin reads, "Chief Art Westerfield/ Albuquerque, N.M." in courier lettering. Chief W. A. (Arthur) Westerfeld served as a firefighter in Albuquerque for forty-three years and was the head of the department for thirty-one years.On View
