DescriptionThis colored map is of the harbor of Messina, Italy. The illustration is bordered by a frame. The city is walled, and there is a canal on the right end of the map. The harbor wraps around into a half circle, and there are many ships spread out over the harbor. There is a strip along the bottom of the map with a key listing places featured on the map by numbers. Inside an ornately illustrated frame near the lower right corner is the title in a cartouche.
