DescriptionThis map shows all of Greece, most of the lower half of Italy, and part of Turkey. Other major countries represented are (from left to right and top to bottom) "PART OF/GERMANY, PART OF POLAND, PART OF RUSSIA, HUNGARY, TRANSIL/VANIA, MOLDAVIA, LITTLE TARTARY, BOSNIA, SERVIA, ECCLISIASTICAL STATE/ITALY/NAPLES, DALMATIA, BULGARIA, ALBANIA, MACEDONIA, ROMANIA, MOREA, CANDIA, PART OF TURKY IN ASIA/ANATOLIA." Above Turkey, the sea is labeled "THE EUXINE/OR/BLACK SEA." In the lower right corner, there is an illustration of two men standing on either side of a stone monument with this title on it: "A NEW &/ACCURATE MAP OF/TURKY in EUROPE/with the adjacent/Countries of Hungary,/Little Tartary &c./Collected/from the best Authorities,/The whole/being regulated by/Astron Observations/By Eman Bowen."
