DescriptionThis National Geographic Magazine color map depicts South America. The different countries of the continent are of different colors. Country names are in English and are written large on the map. City names are also in English and are written in smaller text. The map is bordered by a scale frame. In the upper right corner it says, "SOUTH AMERICA/PREPARED ESPECIALLY FOR/THE NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC MAGAZINE/GILBERT GROSVENOR, EDITOR." Below this there is copyright information and a key to the map. Along the bottom of the map, there are three smaller inset maps. In the lower left corner is a map of South America labeled "ECONOMIC MAP OF/SOUTH AMERICA" with a scale and key below this, explaining the colors on the map. To the right of the tip of South America on the main map, there is an inset map of the Western Hemisphere. There are bands of different colors over it.
